By accessing or using ScamSandbox (scamsandbox.com), including its website, API, and all related services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting the revised Terms on this page. Your continued use of the Service after any modifications constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

ScamSandbox is a free online tool that analyzes websites, domains, and IP addresses for potential security threats, including scams, phishing, malware, and fraudulent activity. The Service aggregates data from multiple third-party threat intelligence sources and presents a consolidated safety report with a risk score and verdict.

The Service also includes community-driven features that allow users to submit reports about potentially dangerous websites and a public API for programmatic access to scan data.

IMPORTANT: Scan results are provided for informational purposes only and should not be considered legal advice, professional security assessments, or definitive determinations of a website's safety.

ScamSandbox scan results are generated through automated analysis of publicly available data from third-party sources. These results:

• • May contain false positives (safe sites flagged as dangerous) or false negatives (dangerous sites not detected)
• • Should not be the sole basis for making financial, legal, or security decisions
• • Reflect a point-in-time snapshot and may not represent the current state of a website
• • Are dependent on the accuracy and availability of third-party data sources
• • Do not constitute a guarantee or warranty regarding any website's safety or legitimacy

We strongly recommend using ScamSandbox as one of multiple tools when evaluating website safety. Always exercise your own judgment and consult with qualified professionals when making important decisions.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, SCAMSANDBOX AND ITS OPERATORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• • Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
• • Damages resulting from reliance on scan results
• • Damages resulting from inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated data
• • Damages resulting from service interruptions or downtime
• • Reputational harm to websites or businesses arising from scan results

Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to use the Service (which is zero for the free tier).

By submitting community reports, scam reports, or any other content to ScamSandbox, you:

• • Represent that the information you provide is truthful and accurate to the best of your knowledge
• • Grant ScamSandbox a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your submitted content as part of the Service
• • Acknowledge that submitted reports may be publicly visible on domain report pages
• • Agree not to submit false, misleading, or defamatory reports
• • Understand that we reserve the right to remove, edit, or refuse to publish any submitted content at our sole discretion

Submitting intentionally false reports to harm a legitimate business or individual is a violation of these Terms and may result in your access being restricted.

Website owners or authorized representatives may submit a removal request if they believe their domain has been incorrectly flagged or if they have resolved previously identified security issues. Removal requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

To submit a removal request, use the form on the relevant domain report page or contact us directly at contact@scamsandbox.com. Please include:

• • The domain in question
• • Proof of domain ownership (e.g., ability to modify DNS records or place a verification file)
• • A description of the steps taken to resolve any identified issues

We aim to respond to all removal requests within 48 hours. Note that removal of a scan report does not prevent future scans of the same domain, and new scans will generate fresh results.

You agree not to:

• • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
• • Attempt to circumvent rate limits or access restrictions
• • Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the Service beyond what is provided through the official API
• • Submit automated bulk scan requests without prior authorization
• • Use the Service to harass, defame, or harm individuals or businesses
• • Attempt to disrupt, overload, or compromise the Service or its infrastructure
• • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service
• • Impersonate ScamSandbox or misrepresent your affiliation with us

The ScamSandbox name, logo, website design, and original content are the intellectual property of ScamSandbox. Scan data is aggregated from third-party sources and is subject to the respective licenses and terms of those sources.

You may reference or link to ScamSandbox scan results provided that you include proper attribution and do not misrepresent the results. You may not use the ScamSandbox name or branding in a way that implies endorsement without written permission.

Access to the ScamSandbox API is subject to rate limits. We reserve the right to modify rate limits, restrict API access, or require API keys at any time. Excessive or abusive API usage may result in temporary or permanent access restrictions.

If you integrate ScamSandbox data into your own product or service, you must clearly attribute the data to ScamSandbox and include a disclaimer that results are informational and not guaranteed.

We reserve the right to restrict or terminate your access to the Service at any time, for any reason, without prior notice. This includes, but is not limited to, violations of these Terms, abusive behavior, or activities that threaten the integrity of the Service.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including disclaimers, limitations of liability, and intellectual property provisions) will continue in full force.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from or related to these Terms or the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
